Automated Agent Performance Tracking

Monitor AI agent quality, speed, and autonomy with daily automated metrics collection and alerting.

Overview

A daily automated system tracks three core performance dimensions for every AI agent: Quality (success rate), Speed (average completion time), and Autonomy (percentage of tasks completed without escalation). When metrics fall below thresholds, the system generates alerts for leadership review.

How It Works

Every evening, a scheduled job analyzes the past 24 hours of agent activity from session logs. It calculates success rates, completion times, and escalation frequency per agent, then writes structured data to monthly JSONL files. If any agent shows Quality below 70%, Autonomy below 60%, or Error rate above 20%, an alert is logged and flagged for review.

Outcome

Running daily since February 2026. Caught 3 performance degradations early (one agent's success rate dropped from 85% to 68% due to API changes). Alerts enabled proactive fixes before quality issues became visible to the team.
